Writer and artist Jacques Nyemb hails from Durham, North Carolina. Jacques is a great guy (and not just because he shares my love for Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, and Transmetropolitan) who specializes in independent comics coverage. Amidst the chaos of hurricane Lee, Jacques found a sunny eye in the storm as his daughter Elizabeth was born. He is now a proud (but sleepless) new father!
Then last weekend in Glasgow, Scotland, or “across the pond” as they sometimes say in the regional vernacular; internationally acclaimed writer, Comic Booked and Newsarama cornerstone, It’s Bloggerin’ Time curator, and JonBot vs. Martha web comic creator, Colin Bell, welcomed his new baby girl, Alba, into the world.
The Comic Booked family would like to offer our most heartfelt congratulations to our proud new papas and their families, and would welcome you to do so as well. It is true, “The children are our future,” and as you can see – the future looks bright and geeky. Personally, I can’t think of a more kind and caring pair of gentlemen to take on the challenging, yet rewarding, mantle of fatherhood. We wish you and your new families the best, Jacques and Colin! Blessed, be.
