Avatar Press does not skimp on announcements and information during convention panels, and this proved to be the case yet again at Phoenix Comicon.  At the convention on May 26th, Avatar made the announcement that they will be launching the Crossed: Wish You Were Here webcomic in October.

The webcomic will feature all-new stories and art by Si Spurrier and Javier Barreno.  This new Crossed series will be a weekly web release that will be FREE to view at  http://www.crossedcomic.com/ .

Si describes the new series as, “The diary of a doomed settlement besieged by sadistic psycho-horror, with a narrative quirk I’m calling ‘gonzo comicbook fiction.’  And it looks, though I say it myself, [expletive]ing tasty.”

This exciting  new entry by Avatar Press into webcomics will be interesting to watch, and likely attract new fans to Crossed and hopefully to the publisher’s other fine books.  Crossed is a series on the move, now in its third story arc as Crossed: Psychopath, a just released Crossed 3D book, and a movie in the works with the screenplay being written by series co-creator Garth Ennis, it seems likely Crossed is in a position to become a very well-known title.  As an avid Crossed reader I look forward to the new webseries and future works from this title and publisher.
