Attention Designers! Here’s A Contest For You!

Michael Wirth 09/19/2011 ZDONOTUSE

Australian design and clothing company RedBubble will be attending their very first New York Comic Con this year, and to celebrate, they are holding a contest. The winner will be given a great prize package, including having their design featured on a limited edition t-shirt which will be promoted heavily at NYCC 2011, $200 in RedBubble vouchers, and an additional secret prize pack!

RedBubble will also be giving away prizes to three runner ups, including $100 vouchers to, banner space on their Facebook page, and the same additional secret prize pack the First Place winner receives.

RedBubble is looking for a new, original character to add to their line-up of already great shirts. The character can be anything, from a massively strong hero to a super-intelligent but not physically threatening super-villain. And of course, the more information you can provide, the better off you’ll be. Giving your character a name and a backstory won’t guarantee that you win, but it certainly won’t hurt your chances. (RedBubble is asking that participants in the contest stay away from licensed or established characters. Use your best judgment when entering. If there is any question as to ownership of a particular character, then it’s best to stay away.)

You can view the full contest guidelines, including Voting Criteria, Prizes, and Official Rules over at RedBubble’s website.

The contest is already open, so don’t waste any time heading over to RedBubble’s website to enter. Voting begins on September 25, so if you want to be a part of the contest, you’ll need to submit your design soon.

Best of luck on behalf of the Comic Booked team!
