And that is what I am about to do.
I am a big fan of anything digital, I am obsessed by Apple’s app store and I am constantly looking for something to feed the addiction. I am exactly the same with Digital Comics, I LOVE ComiXology and I have a vast collection both on my phone and available to read using the web reader app, I currently buy over half of my monthly comics reading digitally and I can’t get enough! So imagine my excitement when I come across a small publisher on ComiXology by the name of Monekybrain Comics. An independent publisher of Comics that are available in digital format only with a select few being picked up by IDW Publishing this year for collected print editions.
Here is some info on Monkey Brain Comics:
Launched in the summer of 2012 by New York Times-bestselling writer Chris Roberson and TV commercial and film producer Allison Baker, Monkeybrain Comics was designed to be a home for quality creator-owned comics made available in digital format via the Comics By comiXology platform. The Onion AV Club has named Monkeybrain Comics the “premier destination for high-quality digital comics,” and IGN has said that Monkeybrain is “the company that seems to be doing [digital comics] best.” Monkeybrain titles were frequently cited in critics’ year-end surveys, and MASKS & MOBSTERS was named the Best Digital Series of 2012 by USA Today.
Here are just a select few titles that MonkeyBrain Comics has on offer at ComiXology for the low price of just 99c per issue!

How’d she get here? How’s she going to get home? Most of all: where can she get a good slice and a pack of Camel Lights? She’s dying here.
This is great company with fantastic ethics when it comes to working with their creators. This is what the industry needs right now, a company that cares about creators and their content. A great idea to embrace the digital platform that ComiXology provides, I cannot recommend this company enough. Go and buy their books!
