Actress Carol Kane joins cast of Gotham

Jeff Hill 07/03/2014 Movies and TV

MTV and TV Line have reported that the veteran Academy Award-nominated actress will be joining the cast of the highly anticipated Batman origin series, Gotham this fall.  Carol Kane is famous for her varied and vast Hollywood resume, frequenting the big screen, small screen, and even the occasional stage production for the last four decades.  Her character, Gertrude Kapelput, is described as a “faded beauty with delusions of grandeur,” and, more importantly, the mother of Oswald Cobblepot, the man destined to become the Penguin.

Gotham will air Mondays this fall on Fox.
