Action Figure Xpress Exclusives for SDCC

Comic Booked Guest Writer 07/02/2012 Reviews

Heading to SDCC in a few weeks?  Be sure to swing by Action Figure Xpress’ booth (#3345) for some awesome convention exclusives!

Feeling mighty?  Break out your Masters of the Universe He-Man Power Sword Letter Opener.  Seven inches long and stores nicely in your Castle Grayskull business card holder – and then you would have the most awesome desk of all time.

Want another awesomely retro desk ornament?  Grab the Thundercats Classic Thundertank Statue.  This polystone sculpture measures approximately 10.25”x7”x2.5” and features a removable cover that reveals the detailed cockpit underneath.  It’s a limited edition of 600 and great for any Thundercats fan.

And, while you’re at Booth 3345 picking up that Thundertank statue, go ahead and grab the exclusive Thundercats Classic Minimates Series 1 set.  The set includes Lion-O (with an alternate head), two versions of the Sword of Omens, Panthro complete with nunchucks, Mumm-Ra with his staff and Jaga.  This set also comes with a bonus Snarf figure, making this 3000-piece limited run that much more awesome.

Need more Minimates?  How about the Marvel Minimates Alpha Flight Box Set #1 which includes Guardian (complete with extra heads and hairpieces), Marrina, Puck (with interchangeable hand so he can be displayed doing a handstand) and Northstar (with extra hairpiece).  Limited run of 3000 sets.

Also, be sure to grab the AVX: Avengers Vs. X-Men Marvel Minimates Box Set.  This set, also a limited edition of 3000, includes brand-new minimates of Cyclops, Emma Frost and Colossus (in his Juggernaut-inspired look) as well as the first-ever appearance of Hope Summers.

On the Minimates 2-Pack front, there’s the Amazing Spider-Man Sewer Battle Marvel Minimates 2-Pack with sewage-splashed versions of Spidey and the Lizard (limited to 3000).

Battle Beasts your thing?  Grab the Battle Beasts Minimates Vorin and Zik 2-Pack as a preview to the launch of Battle Beasts Series 1.

Like your Minimates with a little more zombie? The Walking Dead Minimates Rick and Zombie 2-Pack includes “battle damaged” Officer Rick Grimes and a casual-attire zombie (limited to 3000).

There are also two DC-inspired Be@rbricks, both limited to 2000 each.  First, a Plastic Man Be@rbrick packaged in an individual blister pack and decorated with classic DC styling.  Next, a classic Batman Be@rbrick – the retro blue and gray Batman as a 2” tall bear.

Only available at SDCC, Diamond Select Toys presents an exclusive vinyl R2-R9 from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This ¼ figure doubles as a bank and fits in with the Ultimate Quarter Scale collection (limited to 1000).

Want your SDCC exclusives a little more exclusive?  Pick up the Peavey McFarlane Spider-Man Rockmaster Electric Guitar (limited edition of 100) – a Peavey Rockmaster Guitar decked out in art from Todd McFarlane from Spider-Man #1.

Or, grab the Captain Action Exclusive Variant: Capitano in Azione (Italian Captain Action) – a recreation of the rare 12” “Italian Captain Action” figure from the early 60s.  This variant includes the Italian Beretta pistol and comes in a retro-style box complete with Capitano in Azione brochure with character details!

Be sure to keep posted to Comic Booked for all the latest announcements on SDCC exclusives from all of your favorite companies!
