A writer’s journey begins with some bumps and bruises. Any writer will tell you that writing is not easy. It involves investing a lot of hours, often more than that of the typical worker working an 8 to 10 hour shift. Writing can become a heavy burden, but there is always a silver lining. And because of that, one can focus primarily on the positive aspects of the writing world.

Writing offers many incentives to partake in. It offers creative freedom. You can create worlds with your imagination for those that write fiction. You can write pieces on history, create biographies, auto-biographies… The possibilities are endless. You can never sell yourself short of anything as you go along and write new pieces here and there and that helps to be able to create a self-defined expressionism within each and every single word that you write. There are so many resources that a writer can plug into to inspire new ideas, new content, new characters, settings and landmarks, etc….

It can begin anywhere at anytime – simply starting with your own thoughts.

That is where this writer’s journey begins. It began with a thought. More so, it was a collection of thoughts that stemmed from reading comic books day in and day out. I began to visit the local comic book stores on a daily basis and the words inscribed with the caption bubbles truly spoke to me. They inspired me to create new characters and stories inside my head. There was only one problem though… by the time I got home, I had simply forgotten most of what I had wanted to create. It took me a while at first to understand why this was happening, and because I was young I was getting frustrated. Finally, I had learned that writing my ideas down on a piece of paper when they happened was a very useful medium. And it sure was.

Because I had learned simply to write my thoughts down a piece of paper – it has allowed me to become the success that I am today.
