75 Years of Batman: Top 75 Batman Characters

We’re celebrating Batman’s 75th anniversary in style, giving you a variety of “best of” lists from our very own resident Batman expert, me!  (Obviously the guy who writes a column called Baturday is going to be the one the company chooses.  Duh.)

So first up is our list of favorite characters.  Some are fan favorites, some are obvious ones, and some are the quirky, the bizarre, and even the obscure ones.  In a rich history of 75 years of publication, there have been literally THOUSANDS of characters appearing in the world of the Dark Knight.  Here are my top 75 in terms of importance, likability (or hateability, for that matter), and just generally being memorable.  In alphabetical order, here they are:
