Additional castings for Wolverine 3, the sequel to 2013’s hit The Wolverine, have been revealed! The announcements are rolling in hard and fast. This week three more announcements came about. Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Boyd Holbrook have officially joined the cast.
According to a recent article in Variety , Elise Neal will be joining Hugh Jackman and Stephen Merchant for the film. We recently wrote about the addition of Stephen Merchant and others here . Elise Neal. Elise has previously acted in Mission to Mars, Hustle and Flow, the Chris Rock produced ABC show The Hughleys, 1992’s Malcolm X and the Wes Craven film Scream 2. Elise has won multiple NAACP awards and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
The other recent development is that Eriq La Salle has also been brought on board for the film project. This also came from a Variety article, as seen here. According to the Variety article Eriq is “Best known for his portrayal of Dr. Peter Benton on NBC’s smash medical drama “ER,” Lasalle most recently recurred on CBS’ “A Gifted Man” and “The Widow Man.”
The third announcement is that Boyd Holbrookwas been cast as well and he will be playing a villain in the movie. Elizabeth Olsen’s ex-fiance is known for such films as Milk, Gone Girl, Run All Night and television shows such as Narcos and Hatfield and McCoys.
Who these three individuals will be playing is still to be announced but I imagine it wont be long until we know. The announcements seem to be picking up speed as the movie moves farther through the development stages!
